Our January 2014 open day and corporate launch event in Birmingham

Hair Loss News

January 23rd 2014 marked an important and highly significant day in the HIS Hair Clinic calendar.

As many of you are aware, our original clinic in Birmingham was located in the world famous Jewellery Quarter, our first ever location established back in 2002. In 2008, HIS co-Founders Ian Watson and Ranbir Rai-Watson made the decision to move the clinic out of town to occupy a much larger, more inconspicuous residential premises in the leafy suburb of Harborne.

By 2013, HIS Hair Clinic had grown to 17 locations in 3 continents. Following the appointment of Chief Operating Officer Peter Wozywoda, it became clear that HIS Hair had outgrown its existing headquarters and needed to relocate. In October 2013, HIS Hair Clinic moved to its new International Headquarters on Hagley Road in Birmingham, a prestigious location just on the outskirts of the city centre.

On 23rd January 2014, HIS Hair Clinic held the official launch day for its new headquarters.

For our corporate partners, the event provided a unique insight to the business, where we have come from and where we are headed. HIS Hair Clinic has its sights set firmly on the future, and is therefore laying the foundations for long term corporate stability. HIS is also demonstrating its commitment to provide an ever-improving and expanding portfolio of services for the benefit of its clients past and prospective, and its key stakeholders including the staff that have made the company the success story it has become, and those who will continue to do so long into the future.

We also held a specific press session, during which we answered questions from various local and national media outlets about the company, and the finer details of our procedure.

Our biggest ever open day

Our event on 23rd January was not just a corporate affair. We also took the opportunity to hold the biggest open day in our history, to enable prospective clients to get a feel for what scalp micropigmentation is, what is involved in the process and what it can achieve.

More than 30 prospective clients turned up, many with their partners or friends, to see what scalp micropigmentation can offer. These clients were able to watch a real treatment session taking place, ask a multitude of questions, meet other existing and prospective clients and take part in their own personal hairline simulation session.

Although attendance of all our open days is free, informal and without obligation, many attendees asked for immediate consultations and several booked their own scalp micropigmentation sessions there and then, for dates in February and March.

The worlds first live online SMP session

For those around the world who have an interest in SMP, but did not have feasible access to our Birmingham clinic, we completed another world first by streaming a live treatment session online, so our clients could see first hand exactly how the treatment is performed.

The live stream began at 4pm (UK GMT) and showed a first session taking place on a real HIS client. Birmingham practitioner Paul Clarke conducted the session, presented by Matthew Iulo of our New York clinic. During the live stream we answered questions in real time via our online live chat facility, and the stream continued for about an hour.

The live stream has been converted into a permanently archived video, and is shown below:
