Why I had a hair transplant in my twenties

Why I had a hair transplant in my twentiesHair transplants have gained a huge amount of popularity after stars such as Wayne Rooney opened up about their success stories with the procedure. Now, more men than ever before are choosing to cure their balding problem by heading to their hair transplant nearest clinic.

While hair loss is largely linked to old age, it can start as early as right after puberty. For Sam Rowe, he noticed changes in his luscious locks aged just 22. Sharing his story, Rowe has opened up about his decision to undergo a hair transplant at age 28.

Hair transplant boosted Rowe’s confidence

Speaking about the transplant, Rowe claims he was spurred to do it after seeing male celebrities being open and unembarrassed about their procedure. It was right before his wedding and understandably he wanted to look his best for the big day.

Along with a hair transplant, he also underwent a round of Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), for a full, thicker look. He says since having the transplant he feels invigorated and now barely even thinks about his hair.
His story is inspiring, but are hair transplants really the best option for those in their 20’s and 30’s?

Are hair transplants a good option for younger men?

Losing your hair at any age can be really difficult to deal with, but when you’re young it often hits you twice as hard. Therefore, it’s understandable you’d want to find a permanent, quick solution and a hair transplant does fit the bill.

However, what you might not realise is that while the hair may have started to fall out, it does so gradually. This means, if you’re in your 20’s or 30’s, you may not have experienced the full effects and more hair could start to recede and fall out later. So, if you were to have a hair transplant, if the hair continued to fall out afterwards, it could affect the results.

A much more reliable treatment option would be SMP. This allows you to cover up the problem, it’s a long-lasting treatment and it’s much less expensive.

Overall, younger men should think twice about undergoing a hair transplant as the hair loss could continue beyond the transplant area. It’s much better to go with SMP and opt for a hair transplant later in life.
