Other hair loss solutions
If you are suffering from hair loss, it is highly recommended that you seek professional advice and treatment with products that are clinically prove to work.
The two main drugs which have been shown to reduce hair loss and promote hair regrowth include;
- Minoxidil, this is the active ingredient in multiple hair thickening and regrowth products such as Regain. It is the only over the counter treatment which has been shown to work. Minoxidil works by stimulating blood flow towards the hair follicles, increasing the size of follicles and hair shaft diameter which can stimulate and prolong natural hair growth.
- Finasteride, currently being used to manage male pattern baldness in the commercial prescription-only drug Propecia. It works by decreasing the amount of DHT in the body which leads to increased hair regrowth and slower hair fall.
