Joe Swash and his hair transplant “secret”

Joe swash transplant

Joe swash transplantJoe Swash is currently filming I’m a Celebrity get me Out of Here in Australia which is probably just as well as by all accounts he was disgruntled to discover that his girlfriend, Stacey Solomon was discussing his recent hair transplant on live TV.  Appearing on loose women she said “Don’t you think often you are characterised by your hair? It’s a part of you. I know Joe (Swash) had really curly, lovely thick hair and it was part of his character, so when it went it felt like he lost a part of him. ‘It wasn’t just stick a wig on, he was losing a part of himself.”.

“It wasn’t a secret was it?”

Shortly after this she realised she may have gone a little too far in discussing his treatment when she asked “it wasn’t a secret was it?”.  Janet Street Porter pointedly replied “well it certainly isn’t now”.

Actually Joe had been fairly upfront about his hair transplant but that doesn’t mean he necessarily wants it to be discussed by his girlfriend in front of the nation.  The fact is that hair transplants are becoming more common and much less of a stigma than previously.  When stars like Wayne Rooney and James Nesbitt are quite open about their treatment it helps demystify the whole process.

Hair Transplants have improved significantly

Transplants have come on leaps and bounds in the last decade or so with new and improved techniques that shorten recovery time, reduce the risk of scarring and generally have much more successful results.  At the end of the day, a transplant doesn’t add any new hair though.  It’s just a way of moving around what you already have.  It’s no guarantee that you won’t end up bald in the end but it goes a long way to staving off the ravages of time.  If you want to find out more about hair transplants and other available treatments then why not call us for a free and confidential consulatation on 0121 516 1767
