A-lister Matthew McConnaughey is a man of many hair styles. At the age of 47 the star has sported just about every look possible from a perm and rat tails in his school days to his current more hirsute beard and shaggy hair style. In the late 90s he was actual going bald, by his own admission, which makes his wonderful long mane even more astonishing.
Hair transplant – has he, hasn’t he?
Perhaps unsurprisingly there has been endless speculation about whether or not he’s ever had a hair transplant, with one physician even claiming to have carried out the procedure on McConnaughey. According to the actor though it never happened and he attributes the regrowth of his hair to a natural treatment: Regenix.
Regenix offers a range of treatments and products which they claim are tailored to an individual’s hair type and specific form of loss. Despite the fact that Regenix makes no claims on its website to regrow hair on bald parts of the scalp McConnaughey did go so far as to attribute the disappearance of his bald patch to regularly using the products on a recent TV appearance on Live with Kelly.
The fact is that McConnaughey is probably well paid by Regenix to endorse their product so maybe his claim on their site that, “I’ve been using Regenix, stuff for healthy hair to keep this hair strong, because some of this hair was falling out. Now my hairline’s better than when I was 18” should be taken with a pinch of salt.
One thing’s for sure, if he ever decides he does want or need a transplant then one of the usually prohibitive factors, cost, isn’t going to be a problem given his estimated net worth of $95 million.
