Some will take months before the balding areas are provided with coverage. Others will last for as long as the products are used. Permanence and consistency however will always be an issue for these methods.

Androgenic alopecia is the most common balding condition that men and women will experience. It will cause hair to be lost at a gradual rate, taking decades before it reaches its final stage. This will be its inescapable conclusion if left untreated. Even when someone does use certain remedies to address their baldness it is not always guaranteed that it would work. There are phases where a certain treatment is most effective. Using one at the correct time is essential to make any substantial impact on their hair loss. Note also that a total cure has yet to be developed for androgenic alopecia. Its progression can only be slowed down but never totally stopped.

The use of scalp micropigmentation circumvents the need to actually cure or remedy androgenic alopecia. It does not introduce anything unnatural to the body’s biological make-up. In fact, it allows this as well as any balding condition run its full course. Scalp micropigmentation merely camouflages the symptoms of androgenic alopecia. It is a clever way of dealing with this situation because its effectiveness is not tied to the rate of balding exhibited by the client. This remedy can be implemented at any time, regardless of the type of hair loss.
A patient is requested to shave off all his existing hair at the beginning of every session. It provides the technician with a “clean slate” to work on. The pigments are then carefully layered to create the hair pattern that was agreed upon during the consultation period. Injecting them into the dermis would take about two to three hours to finish. Though it might take a minimum of two sessions to complete, scalp micropigmentation is still considered as one of the quickest ways to remedy hair loss.
Results to be expected after the entire treatment are almost immediate. The scalp only needs about two to three days for the redness to subside. Scabs will also have formed in the area where the pigments were deposited. These will likewise disappear in less than a week. The scalp micropigmentation however would already be quite visible as soon as the session is finished. A client would only need to wait for his skin to fully heal before he may be able to appreciate a full illusion of hair.
There are some who mistake this treatment as being able to recreate its three-dimensional qualities. Pigments however are merely flat, two-dimensional dots. They only give off the appearance of actual hair follicles through the skill of an adept technician. The pigment’s size, shape and density will rely heavily on the client’s skin tone as well as his facial features. Taking these characteristics into consideration affects how natural looking the end result would appear.
It should be remembered that scalp micropigmentation also requires a modicum amount of care in order to maintain its colour. These pigments though permanently placed upon the scalp can slowly fade over a certain period of time. Some past clients report that they lose their vibrancy after about five years. A quick visit to the clinic however can easily refresh the colour of the pigments. It does not need to be a brand new treatment. All that is required is a simple touch-up procedure.
