Matthew McConaughey uses Regenix Shampoo to slow down hair loss

Celebrities, Other solutions

Matthew McConaughey gets a little help to combat his hair loss, but it’s not what the rumors would have you believe.

Here comes another hair transplant rumor from Tinseltown. This one now involving Hollywood’s most recent Academy Award winner for best actor Matthew McConaughey. Known just as much for his thick, wavy hair as he for his classic Texas drawl and taking his shirt off.

McConaughey (45) would appear to have a “Benjamin Button” thing going on with his hair, which is to say he appears to be gaining hair rather than losing. To modify his famous quote from Dazed and Confused, “that’s what I love about these hair loss solutions, man; I get older, my hair stays the same age.”

Jokes and quips aside, its easy to see the dramatic improvement with his hair. Check out the photos below, where McConaughey’s hair was at it’s thinnest:

Clearly something has been done, but what? People have longs speculated that McConaughey has had to have to transplant sometime in the recent past. Many believe he’s had hair plugs, better known as a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). A FUE is a procedure where plugs of hair plucked from the back of the scalp and then transplanted to the areas of concern, most commonly the hairline.

But in a candid interview with David Letterman [insert link?] a few years back, McConaughey admitted to seeking out the aid of a hair loss solution called Regenix. McConaughy, who reportedly has no stake in the company and hasn’t been hired to endorsed, insists that the hair loss treatment regimen consisting of shampoos, conditions, and other topical astringents along with a some massaging (or manual labor, as McConaughey calls it) has worked wonders on his hair.

What is Regenix exactly? Regenix is a 1-2-3 step Proactive-esqe approach to hair loss consisting of a daily regimen of hair and scalp hygiene products. It’s set up as a three stage program that comes in a monthly package of products that have to be used daily in order to stimulate and maintain hair growth. With prices getting up to around $300 a month, a program member better hope their package doesn’t get lost in the mail.

But when you’ve made $96 million in the last twelve months to become the highest paid actor, $300 a month is a drop in the bucket. But money aside, McConaughey, like every one else, has only 24 hours in the day. And with what can imagine is his busy schedule, it can’t be easy to wash, shampoo, treat, and massage his hair for 20-30 minutes every day.

One things for sure, McConaughey isn’t letting hair loss slow him down.
