Is Kevin Spacey using urine therapy for his hair loss?

Celebrities

Show business is a fickle industry and a competitive industry. In Hollywood, youth and beauty come with an earlier expiration date than most other cities. Growing older narrows the field and shrinks the amount of roles for actors. Even in the age of ground breaking special effects and make-up artistry, nothing beats the advantage of having the real deal.

So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that many of the biggest and brightest stars in entertainment will go to any length to shave a few years off their appearance and add a few to their career.

Kevin Spacey is no different. It’s been speculated in recent years that the Academy Award winner has turned to some sort of hair loss solution, be it a hair transplant, a hair system, or urine therapy for hair loss.

Yes, you read that correctly: urine therapy.

There are some out there believe that Spacey could have began a hair loss urine therapy routine. What is such a thing? It’s the act of massaging urine into the scalp and allowing it to sit for 30 minutes to an hour before rinsing the scalp. What does such a thing accomplish? It’s believed that the urine stimulates growth, promotes a more beautiful appearance, and preserves hair color, blocking the current hair from turning grey.

It would appear the old adage “desperate times call for desperate measures” would apply here.

However, there is no evidence or confirmation that Spacey is washing is his hair with urine. Just speculation at this time.

But what, if anything, has he done? Since taking the role as the cunning but captivating Frank Underderwood in the hit Netflix Original series House of Cards, Spacey’s career isn’t the only thing that’s had a resurgence in recent years.

Its easy to see that Spacey has appearance has improved recently, thanks to a fuller looking head of hair.

So what is it? Hair transplant? Toupee?

Acclaimed hair transplant surgeon, Dr. Bessam Farjo, thinks that it’s a hair system due to the time frame and the overall thickness of the hair. British hair transplant surgeon Dr. Asim Shahmalak(the doctor responsible for performing Callum Best’s [link] hair transplant), agrees. When quoted in a Daily Mail article, Dr. Shahmalak said, “The most likely explanation is that Kevin Spacey is wearing a beautifully made hairpiece…It would have taken far longer for any transplanted hair to grow back so fully.”

So it would appear that Spacey has taken a few tricks of the trade home with him.
